Exclusion from the United Kingdom of individuals for engaging in unacceptable behaviour


As part of the Government's response to the July 2005 London bombings Charles Clarke, the then Home Secretary, announced on 24 August 2005 that those who sought to foster hatred or to promote terrorism would not be welcome in the United Kingdom and that he would be using his power to exclude or deport individuals who engaged in certain kinds of unacceptable behaviour.
