The European fund for the integration of third country nationals (EIF) is a new European Commission fund that started in 2007 and will run to 2013. Following a call for proposals in December 2007 the following projects were selected for funding from the 2007 EIF allocation to the United Kingdom. The European Commission requires us to publish a list of the successful projects.
The European Integration Fund is aimed at newly-arrived legal migrants (that is migrants who have arrived within the last 5 years) who are not asylum seekers, refugees, EU or EEA nationals and who have not come to the United Kingdom in a short-term visa category such as students.
The United Kingdom does not intend undertaking an external tendering process for 2008 as all the available funding is already committed. However, we will be starting work on the 2009 programme shortly and once this is finalised we will be advertising further opportunities for projects to be supported.
