Work permit application forms and guidance notes

New work permit application forms and revised guidance notes are now available from this website, or from the distribution centre (from 1 April 2008) telephone 0117 344 1471.
These should be used for applications that you send to the UK Border Agency (currently the Border and Immigration Agency) on or after the 1 April 2008.
There have only been minimal changes made, which include:
- The application forms and guidance notes have been rebranded to the 'UK Border Agency', and contain our updated website address (www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk - from 1 April 2008) and other contact details.
- The 'SB1X' form and 'SBS (non Bulgarian and Romanian nationals) guidance notes' will only be available on this website and not at the distribution centre.
The UK Border Agency will continue to accept work permit applications on the previous versions of the application forms (dated from 19 November 2007 to 31 March 2009 and branded Border and Immigration Agency).
Please note that the work permit arrangements will be superseded by the Points Based System (PBS) during the course of 2008 to 2009. Please continue to check this website for updates and further information.
