How do I complete application form ECAA 2 Turkish self-employed?

This page explains how you should complete application form ECAA 2 Turkish self-employed to apply to extend your permission to stay (leave to remain) or stay permanently (indefinite leave to remain) in the United Kingdom under the rules of the European Community Association Agreement (ECAA) with Turkey for establishing in business in the United Kingdom.

If you are already legally in the United Kingdom in this category or in some other capacity, such as another business category or as a visitor or student, you may apply to extend your stay or switch to the Turkish-ECAA category if you meet the requirements for proving that you will be genuinely establishing in business. See Staying in the United Kingdom as a Turkish citizen who will be establishing in business for details of the ECAA and its requirements.

There is no fee for making this application.

You must be in the United Kingdom to apply. If you are applying to extend your stay, you must apply at least four weeks before the end of your authorised stay in the United Kingdom. If you are applying for permanent residence, you must not send us your application more than 28 days before the end of your four-year qualifying period. If you do, we may refuse your application. However, you must make your application before your current permission to stay in the United Kingdom expires.

You should post your application to us. You cannot make an application of this type in person at our public enquiry offices. You should send it, with your supporting documents, to:

ECAA Team
UK Border Agency
PO Box 4160

We cannot tell in advance how long it will take to decide your application so you should not make non-urgent travel plans until we have returned your passport to you.

You must fill in the form in block capitals using a black pen. Please enter all dates as dd-mm-yyyy, for example 29-04-2000.
