Where do I send the application forms?

This page explains where you should send your application forms.

Application forms should be sent with supporting documents to the addresses below. There is no fee required for these particular applications. For further information on what supporting documents we will need you must read the Bulgarian and Romanian guidance, which you can download from the right side of this page.

Form EEA1 should be sent to:

UK Border Agency
European Applications (EEA1)
PO Box 306
DEPT 45
Liverpool
L2 0N

All other application forms, see the Applying section, should be sent to:

Bulgarian and Romanian applications
Border and Immigration Agency
North East, Yorkshire and the Humber region
PO Box 4160
Sheffield
S1 9DZ

To help us record receipt of your application we recommend that you send it recorded delivery or special delivery and keep the relevant number.

We will return all your documents by recorded delivery. If you want your passport and other documents returned by Special Delivery, you will need to provide a suitably sized special delivery envelope with the correct pre-paid postage.

If you wish to arrange a courier to collect your documents please let the Bulgarian and Romanian caseworking team know by fax on 0114 207 5872 and they will contact you to let you know when and where your documents will be ready for collection. Please be aware that the Bulgarian and Romanian caseworking team will not sign for documents from the courier company or pay for this service.

We offer a same-day service for applications on forms BR1, BR2, BR3 (except those applicants applying under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme), BR4 and BR7 by appointment only at our public enquiry office (PEO) in Croydon. You should call 0870 606 7766 to make an appointment before you attend.

We are able to consider applications from married partners and civil partnerships, but regret we are unable to consider applications for un-married partners at PEO. Applications of this type should be submitted to the Bulgarian and Romanian caseworking team as a postal application.
