Full details of all requirements are in the immigration rules at paragraphs 245ZB - 245ZH of part 6a which you can find on the right of this page. You must read the policy guidance before you apply under this category. You can download the guidance and application form from the Applying section.

£17,000 - £19,999 5
£20,000 - £21,999 10
£22,000 - £ 23,999 15

The salary bands are before tax (gross), yearly, and include any extra money (allowances) that are part of your guaranteed salary package.

If you are working in the United Kingdom on a contract for less than 12 months, you should claim points for what your earnings would be if you were working for 12 month.

We only award points for hours of up to 48 hours a week, even if you work longer. For example, if you earn £25,000 yearly for 60 hours a week of work, the same earnings for 48 hours a week would be £20,000. So you would be able to claim 10 points for your earnings.

You should ask your sponsor to confirm the salary for the job that they put on your certificate of sponsorship.
