This page explains how many points you need to be able to apply under the skilled worker category (Tier 2 General) of the points-based system to work in the United Kingdom.

You must have at least 50 points for your attributes to be able to apply.
Points are awarded for your attributes, which are:

You must score 10 points for English language skills or your application will be refused.
You must score 10 points for maintenance (funds) or your application will be refused.
