How much does it cost to make an application as a representative of an overseas media organisation?

This section explains how much it will cost for us to process you application to as a representative of an overseas media organisation.

You must pay the full fee when you make your application. The fee you need to pay will depend on the type of application you are making.

How to pay

You may pay by:

  • United Kingdom cheque (business or personal);
  • United Kingdom postal order;
  • credit card;
  • debit card.

If you pay by cheque please ensure that you have sufficient funds to cover the fee payment. You are advised not to send cash. If you are paying using a bank or credit card account which belongs to someone else, you should give their details on the payment slip in case there are problems with the payment.

If you are applying in person we will accept payment in cash or by a Maestro card issued by a foreign bank.

We cannot accept multiple payment methods, for example part cheque part credit card or cheques or sterling drafts from foreign banks.

Entry clearance to come to the United Kingdom as a representative of an overseas media organisation

This application is processed by your nearest British diplomatic post. The cost of the application will be decided locally by the diplomatic post where you make the application. You should contact them for details for the fee and how you should pay it.

£395 for postal applications
£595 for applications made in person
