Technical changes of employment

If during the validity of the work permit, you wish to amend any personal details of your employee or your company, you should inform the us by completing the notification of technical change of employment form, which you can download along with the guidance from the right side of this page. From 29 June 2009 a fee of £20 will be charged for the processing of this form. Notifications of change by letter will not be accepted.

A technical change of employment is a minor change to the details relating to a current work permit. For example, it could be a change of name on marriage, or change of your business address.

If there are significant changes to the employee's job, or if you wish to employ a work permit holder who is currently working for another employer, they will need to have permission to work under Tier 2 of the points-based system. The exception to this is if they are working as a senior care worker. See the section on transitional arrangements for further information.
